Sixth Form Prom

Once again the Sixth Form Prom took place at its now traditional venue, the Riverside Hotel, Mildenhall. Students and guests arrived in some very stylish cocktail dresses and smart suits, with a few brave ladies arriving in an open top sports car.  We even got to do some star spotting as a well-known actor made his way along the red carpet to the reception.

After a photo call outside, students mingled in the lovely weather in the riverside gardens and in the event room, tastefully decorated in ivory, black and magenta. Miss Bennett and Mrs Jeffs helped to get the dancing going and students enjoyed a delicious finger buffet. Awards were organised and distributed by Student President Petra Acred.

The evening ended with hugs and farewells, particularly from the departing Y13 students. Many of them are off to foreign climbs this summer, including two who will be involved in a teaching project in Thailand.

We look forward to meeting again on results day in August.
