Newmarket College Parent Teacher Association

All parents are automatically members of NCPTA.

We have three main aims:

• Educational - helping to increase parents' understanding of what goes on in lessons.

• Social - providing the chance to get together and enjoy ourselves.

• Financial - supporting the work of the school for the benefit of students in areas where the local education authority funding does not reach.

By joining our 200 club you can support your child's education in a relatively painless way. For just £2 a month you can help provide additional resources and also have the chance of winning monthly prizes. If you join the 200 Club, your name will be entered into a monthly draw. There are 4 prizes: 3 x £12 and 1 x £24 - equivalent to a free year's membership of the 200 Club. For two months of the year there are additional larger prizes, determined by the number of members in the club. We also organize a very popular and successful talent Show every February, giving students the chance to showcase their own acting, singing and musical skills to an audience of family, friends and peers. We hold regular quiz nights and race nights, open to both adult and student teams and would welcome any other suggestions or ideas for other fundraising events. We have recently purchased some large picture frames for displaying photographic work around the school and are also currently helping to buy new benches for the outside area.

If you would like to support your son/daughter's education by becoming involved in NCPTA or its activities, however infrequently, please print out the declaration of interest form below, fill in the details and send the form in to the school office.
